Because the historical prints never date the early views of NZ towns and cities are usually pretty popular on eg Trademe or Facebook marketplace. However because these are prints of prints rather than the early lithographs/engravings themselves the value of the prints is more decorative than investment. So around $NZ50 each unless the frames are very dated, or the prints have faded significantly. They would have been framed at John Leech Gallery, hence the labels on the reverse of the prints.New Zealand Fine Printshttp://prints.co.nznoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5122275467618922327.post-3499558987236655362020-10-04T13:10:12.358+13:002020-10-04T13:10:12.358+13:00Hi, i have 5 Avon prints, all in excellent conditi...Hi, i have 5 Avon prints, all in excellent condition.
View of Auckland,
view of Auckland, from the lake on the north shore.
Native village and Cowdie forest
War Speech
Kororadika Beach
I was hoping you can tell me about them. they are all numbered. and still in the brown original frame.
hoping to get the history behind them and the value. on the back they have stamps saying James Leech Art dealer New Zealand thanks
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01487057331801229627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5122275467618922327.post-11720737399225039382020-07-03T08:44:43.986+12:002020-07-03T08:44:43.986+12:00Hi,
